By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2.1 Photos You Upload
When you use Style Swap, you upload photos for AI-powered outfit transformation. These photos are:
- Processed by our AI service (Google Gemini API) to generate styled images
- Not stored on our servers after processing is complete
- Transmitted securely using industry-standard encryption (TLS)
2.2 Account & Usage Data
We may collect the following data to provide and improve our service:
- Anonymous User ID — a randomly generated identifier (not linked to personal identity)
- Subscription status — to manage your access tier (Free, Pro, Ultra)
- Credit usage — daily credits consumed and bonus credits balance
- Device information — device model, OS version, and app version for crash reporting
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Your name, email address, or phone number (unless you contact support)
- Precise location data
- Contacts, calendars, or other personal data
- Browsing history or data from other apps
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information solely to:
- Process your photos through AI for outfit transformation
- Manage your subscription and credit balance
- Diagnose technical issues and improve app stability
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Third-Party Services
Style Swap uses the following third-party services:
- Google Gemini API — for AI image generation (see section 4.1 below)
- Firebase (Google) — for anonymous authentication, data synchronization, and remote configuration. See Firebase Privacy.
- RevenueCat — for subscription management. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- Apple App Store — for in-app purchases and subscription billing.
4.1 Google Gemini AI — Data Sharing Details
Style Swap uses Google's Gemini API, a third-party AI service provided by Google LLC, to generate outfit transformations. Here is exactly what happens when you use this feature:
What data is sent to Google:
- Your uploaded photo, resized to a maximum of 1024 pixels (not the original full-resolution image)
- Text-based style instructions describing the outfit transformation (e.g., "casual streetwear outfit")
- Your gender preference (if you specified one during onboarding), used only to select appropriate clothing styles
What data is NOT sent to Google:
- Your name, email, or any personally identifiable information
- Your device ID, location, or any account data
- Your subscription status, credit balance, or payment information
How Google processes this data:
- Photos are processed in real-time by the Gemini API and are not stored by Google after the response is generated
- Google does not use your submitted photos to train or improve its AI models when processed through the paid API
- All data transmission uses TLS encryption
User consent:
- Before using the AI generation feature for the first time, the App asks for your explicit consent to send your photo data to Google's Gemini AI service
- You may decline, in which case no data is sent to Google
- Including this information in the Privacy Policy alone is not a substitute for the in-app consent dialog, which is presented before any data is transmitted

5. Data Storage & Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data:
- All network communications use TLS encryption
- Photos are processed in-memory and not persistently stored on our servers
- Credit and subscription data is stored securely in Firebase with access controls
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers
6. Data Retention
Uploaded photos are processed in real-time and discarded immediately after the AI response is generated. We do not retain copies of your photos.
Account data (anonymous ID, credit balance, subscription tier) is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting us.
7. Children's Privacy
Style Swap is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Request access to your data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing
- Data portability
